Central vision is the most important part of your vision; it's used to drive, read, and see pictures and faces. Good central vision allows you to see shapes, color, and details clearly and sharpely. If you're nearsighted (myopia) you can see near objects more clearly than objects that are far away. If you have children that are younger than nine, they may not realize they have trouble seeing objects far away. Eye glasses or contact lenses are simple ways to correct nearsightedness. With non-insurance discount benefit vision plan, you can choose and enjoy savings from frames, lenses, and specialty items such as tints, scratch resistant coatings, and ultraviolet protection. There is no limit on eyewear selection or the number of times a card member may use the benefit. Check this out, not too long ago, my neighbor's son needed a pair of glasses. He's enrolled under his mother's traditional Vision insurance plan. His mother did not pay anything when he bought the glasses because the frames were less than $120.00 for single vision lenses, and lenses were covered for up to $65.00. This is as far as her vision plan would go. But, when I purchased my glasses the amount was quite different using my Coast to Coast non-insurance discount benefit. I was trully paying less money out of pocket. Plus, I would continue getting discounts on as many pairs of glasses as I want throughout my membership year. With my neighbor's insured plan, she can't buy another pair of glasses for two years, and her son is supposed to be happy with that. This is just a typical illustration of how insured plans for ancillary health products are nothing more than pre-payment plus administrative fee, leaving you with very small benefit. Not so with non-insurance discount benefits!
